Vasilis Drakopoulos was born in 1978, he studied Business Administration at the University of Hertfordshire and holds an MSc in Finance from the University of Essex. In 2019 he completed the Coca-Cola HBC Executive Leadership Program delivered in collaboration with IMD Business School.
With 13 years of Insurable Risk experience and 19 in total, he joined Coca-Cola Hellenic Bottling Company in 2013 as Group Risk & Insurance Specialist, appointed as Group Insurance Manager in 2015. He is responsible for the Group insurance placement strategy and for overseeing the risk engineering programs for 29 countries. He works closely with the London, Swiss and African insurance markets in formulating and executing the Group wide insurable risk placement program.
He is part of the extended Group Crisis Response team and at the same time supports the Group Wide Enterprise Risk Management program and holds the positions of Chief Risk Officer (CRO) and Board Executive Director for the Group Captive Reinsurance entity.
Before joining Coca-Cola HBC Vasilis held various positions of increasing responsibility with Hellenic Halyvourgia SA.
A member of the Association of Insurance and Risk Managers (AIRMIC) UK and the Hellenic Association of Risk Managers (HARIMA).
