What is the Risk Training Institute of ICAP CRIF
The Risk Training Institute of ICAP CRIF is a Business Unit aiming to educate and train Risk Officers. For the first time in Greece, a specialized educational institution actively supports the work of risk management executives, not only in the financial sector but in all sectors of the Greek economy.
Why it was created
Training needs in Risk Management existed and will continue to exist, but with the difference that global developments in risk management set a stricter framework in their readiness, recognition and effective response, while new challenges are emerging that are directly related to the financial valuation of businesses (ESG). The knowledge of developments at an international level and the adoption of new effective practices in risk management become a competitive advantage in a more demanding market, as it begins to take shape.
Who we are
Our team consists of administrative and educational executives specializing in risk management. Moreover, regarding the training in credit risk management, ICAP CRIF is a thought leader as the only company in Greece that has been recognized as a Credit Rating Agency (CRA) by the European Securities and Markets Authority – ESMA , as of July 2011. In addition, it is the only company in Greece that has been recognized by the Bank of Greece (July 2008) as an External Credit Assessment Institution (ECAI) in the context of the implementation of the Basel II and EU Directives.
